Hayley’s journey to Social Work Student
Hayley joined Capstone in 2013 as an Admin Apprentice. Hayley was always very clear about her ambition to one day become a social worker as she was very keen to support children and people who were in need. Hayley was nurtured within the team to build on her admin skills, telephone manner and customer service knowledge.
Within 18 months of her role, Hayley decided that she would enrol in college to gain the qualifications needed to apply for university. By this time, Hayley had been promoted to Panel Co-ordinator and was actively involved in organising the panel meeting and with everyone involved from start to finish. Hayley’s commitments at college meant that she needed to go part time, and Hayley’s workload was adjusted accordingly to support her to continue with college.
Hayley was successful in her exams and gained the qualifications required to commence a degree in Social Work at the University of Worcester in 2016.
Hayley said: “I just want to say a big massive thank you to Capstone for all the support that you’ve offered me through college, and I’m looking forward to starting my degree.”Back to Postive Fostering Outcomes
